As raw material for the production of ice cream the factory Nestle uses milk powder produced in Russia and Belarus. According to the statement of the company representatives, the production is prepared for the use of raw milk, but the suppliers are unable to provide a stable quantity of high quality raw materials, according to The DairyNews.
The company has more than 200 suppliers, including raw materials and packaging, said representatives of Nestle during a press conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the factory in Zhukovsky.

A company representative also underlined that currently a certain number of factories in Russia and Belarus are subject to audit.

"The company has high requirements to milk. Nestle does not work with milk containing antibiotics. The company in Zhukovskiy is equipped for making ice cream from raw milk, but there are no suppliers, so the company is forced to buy milk powder. As soon as these providers appear, the company is ready to make ice cream from raw milk, especially that of the equipment available. The fact is that suppliers are trying to pass the first test, and when you rhythmically in a large volume have to supply milk of standard quality it is a problem", - said Andrey Bader, Board member, Director of Corporate Affairs of Nestlé in Russia and Eurasia.
