Indian dairy company Amul entering Russian market
As it was reported earlier, the Indian company Amul is negotiating supplies of its products to Russia. The company Foodline will distribute Amul’s products in Russia. The volume and range of products are not established yet and depend on the market. It is planned to start with hard cheeses and milk powder.
Probably Amul will become the first Indian company supplying dairy products to the Russian market. To start with Amul needs to get accreditation of Rosselkhoznadzor. Aleksey Alekseyenko, Service representative, believes the company will get the accreditation this year. According to his words, other companies may also start exporting to Russia, but firstly Indian veterinary service must submit a list of companies able to fulfill Russian and CU legislative requirements.
