The Ministry of agriculture and food of the Udmurt Republic will strengthen support for livestock breeding - for reimbursement of costs associated with the acquisition of high-value animals, in 2020 Udmurt agricultural enterprises will receive subsidies almost twice as much as this year. This should be an incentive for the development of beef cattle in the Republic, writes The DairyNews with reference to the press service of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation.

It is planned to allocate 150 million rubles to breeding and commodity enterprises of the Republic next year for these purposes, this year the support allocated from the regional budget amounted to 90 million rubles.

Due to the fact that in 2020, such a measure of support will be provided by the Federation, in Udmurtia for the first time there will be introduced subsidies for the purchase of breeding young goats and cattle of specialized beef breeds. Beef cattle breeding is one of the promising directions of the Udmurt agricultural industry, which is planned to be developed. 20% growth is planned for 2020. Moreover, now the Ministry of agriculture of Udmurtia is working on a new mechanism for the support and acquisition of cattle embryos for the formation of its own herd of sires at breeding stations.

It was in the current year that the farms of the Republic began to replace their herds actively. Since the beginning of the year, 3,396 head of elite young cattle have already been purchased, they were delivered to 69 farms. In particular, 138 animals in seven batches were purchased by LLC "Kachkashurskoye" in Krasnogorsk district. And at LLC "Mir" in Votkinsk district and at agricultural production cooperative "Zarya" in Mozhga district relied on the use of the best foreign genotypes-they imported high-quality Danish animals. Only at LLC "Mir" there were "registered" 1113 "foreigners".
