In Russia it is planned to prohibit the display of milk-containing products with substitutes for milk fat along with dairy products since 2019
The draft resolution of the government "On amendments to the rules for the sale of certain types of goods" is published on the portal regulation.gov.ru.
The rules are proposed to be supplemented with the paragraph: "In the trading hall or other place of sale, display (laying out) of dairy and compound dairy products should be carried out separately from milk-containing and other food products produced with the substitution of milk fat with non-dairy fats, including vegetable ones".
It is expected that the change will come into force on January 1, 2019.
In July, changes to the technical regulations "On the safety of milk and dairy products" will come into force. In particular, the concept of dairy products with a substitute for milk fat is being clarified: at present it is forbidden to use "milky terms" on the labels of these products.
