In Moscow gastronomic marathon "Golden Autumn" was visited by over 5 million people

Urban festivals as a part of the event "Moscow seasons" was visited by over 50 million people during the year, said the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, reports The DairyNews with a link to the website of the Council of the Ryazan region of Moscow.
In particular the festival "Golden autumn" was visited by over 5 million people this year.

— There were present 500 participants from 40 regions of the Russian Federation, which exhibited their products, reported the Head of the Department of trade and services Alexey Nemeryk to mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Special demand was for farmer poultry.

In general, on the trading sites in Moscow, there were sold more than 180 tons of meat products, about 62 tons of cheese, more than 240 tons of fish and seafood.

—This year, in fact, created a new touristic product of world level, — said the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin.

Within the framework of the festival they organized a "Meat week" (23-29 September), "Cheese days" (from September 29 to October 2), a "Fish week" (from 3 to 9 October), as well as regional fairs, where vegetables and fruits of the new harvest were sold.

In total 180 tons of meat products, 62 tons of cheese and cheese products, more than 240 tons of fish and seafood, 70 thousand cans of canned fish were sold. Sales leaders were farmer poultry (Guinea fowl, yellow chick and chicken), cod, surmullet and vendace.

The festival was attended by over 500 organizations and more than 120 producers from 37 regions of the Russian Federation.

More than 300 chalets, including 181 commercial, 94 catering and 26 entertainment chalets worked for guests of the festival. In particular, at the Revolution square during the "Meat week" a big festival restaurant "Meat cult" was opened (more than 3.5 thousand burgers and more than 650 steaks were sold), and during the "Fish week" "the Fish restaurant" was opened (more than 2 thousand fish pasties "Bric" and more than 15 thousand oysters were sold).

During the festival 4.8 thousand different activities, including cooking and creative workshops and shows, interactive mini-lectures, concert and theater programs were held, they were visited by more than 117 thousand people. For example, on 30 September during "Cheese days" at the Manege square in front of the visitors they boiled a new kind of cheese "Moscow".
