According to data of Rosstat, in August the enterprises of the country produced 50.1 thousand tons of cheese and cheese products, reports The DairyNews.
This figure is 2.2% less than the one of July of the current year.
Production of processed liquid milk increased in August compared to July by 1.4% and amounted to 447 thousand tons. The production of butter and и butter pastes decreased by 7.9% to 21.8 thousand tons (in comparison with August 2015 this index dropped by 15.5%).
Production of kefir in August this year amounted to 88.3 thousand tons (reduction to the index of July by 6.4%). In addition, production of ice-cream and frozen desserts decreased in August, in comparison with July these products were produced by 20.8% less – 47,1 thousand tons.
Production of margarine products in August increased in Russia by 36.4%, to 42 thousand tons.
