During the period from 2010 to 2012 the Russian powdered milk and cream market decreased by 23.2 thousand tons. In 2012 the market dropped by 8.1% compared to the previous year. Local products make the major share of the market, while the imported share totals a quarter. Russia imports “powdered” dairy products from Ukraine (38%), Finland, Germany, France, Uruguay, Argentina, Poland and Belgium.

Meanwhile powdered milk and cream consumption per capita is decreasing in Russia: from 2010 to 2012 it dropped by 0.2 kg/person. This kind of produce is also widely consumed by manufacturing sectors.
