Imports of dairy products to Russia from non-CIS countries in January decreased by 24.7%

Import growth is observed against the background of a low base in January 2017, for which imports from non - CIS countries was, according to updated data, $11.29 billion (increased by 39.4%), in January 2016 this figure amounted to $8.1 billion (fell by 17.9%), in January 2015 - $9.9 billion (fell by 40.8%), in January 2014 - $16.7 billion (decrease by 1.4%).

In January imports of machine - building products grew by 21.1% to $6,456 billion, chemical products - by 23.1% ($2,621 billion), textiles and footwear - by 19.7% ($1,009 billion), food products and raw materials for their production - by 13.2% ($1,798 billion).

In the group of food products and raw materials for their production there increased imports of cereals by 41.1%, alcoholic and non - alcoholic beverages by 34%, meat and by - products by 32.7%, vegetables by 14.2%, fruits by 10.2%, fish by 8.5%, sugar by 7.5% and vegetable oil by 5.1%. However, the supply of tobacco decreased by 14.3%.

Among the products of chemical industry, the import of polymers and rubber increased by 29.2%, products of organic and inorganic chemistry - by 26.4%, perfumes and cosmetics - by 21.5%, soap and synthetic detergents - by 14.8%, pharmaceuticals - by 9.6%.

Imports of textiles and footwear increased due to growth in purchases of chemical fibers by 35%, of finished textiles - by 29.1%, textiles - by 25.3%, cotton - by 23.6%, clothes - by 18.5%, footwear - by 18.3%.
