In case the food embargo is abolished European enterprises will be thoroughly checked.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor’s head Sergey Dankvert, foreign partners guaranteed food safety when the Russian market became open to them, but afterwards it was determined that 50-60% of them didn’t meet Russian standards of safety.
Those companies which were previously inspected will start exporting. Those which were not inspected (around 80%) will be allowed to do it only after thorough check, he said.
