"EkoNiva" will build a cheese factory with a line for the production of cottage cheese in Novosibirsk region
As it was previously reported, the company "EkoNiva moloko Siberia" (a part of "EkoNiva-APK holding") planned to launch the plant by the end of 2019. The company, which will process about a thousand tons of milk per day and produce fermented dairy products in addition to hard and semi-hard cheese, will become one of the largest in Russia and the largest beyond the Urals.
"I think that the plant will start its work in spring-summer 2020. The volume of investment will be a little more than 15 billion, maybe closer to 18 billion. The increased volume of investments is due to the fact that we will launch a cottage cheese line at the plant and will make cottage cheese", said Durr.
He noted that the construction of the plant in Siberia will not prevent another major project of “EkoNiva” - the creation of the first dairy farm in Moscow region for 2.5 billion rubles, about which Durr reported during the St. Petersburg international economic forum in 2018. "This will be an addition to Novosibirsk project, and one does not interfere with the other. We have a plan to provide the whole country with milk", - said the interlocutor.
The DairyNews reminds: GC “EkoNiva” is to increase the number of cattle by 40 thousand heads, said President of the group of companies Stefan Durr. Thus, the number of animals on the farms of the holding will grow from 110 to 150 thousand heads.
