"EkoNiva" may build a dairy plant for 20 billion rubles in Moscow region
Earlier, the Minister of agriculture and food of Moscow region Andrey Razin said that "EkoNiva" might build a plant in the region with a processing capacity of 1.2 thousand tons of milk per day. He said this at The EuroTier exhibition in Hanover in Germany; his words were reported by the press service of the Ministry.
"We are discussing such a project. In Moscow region or in Ryazan region. This will cost about 20 billion rubles", said Durr, noting that he did not make a final decision in which of the subjects the plant would be located.
The businessman added that the company expects to start building the plant in 2019 and it will be launched in 2021. The plant will primarily produce whole-milk products and cottage cheese.
Now “EkoNiva” owns enterprises in Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Ryazan and Tyumen regions, they employ about 6 thousand people. The company has about 334 thousand hectares of land in use.
Within the framework of the St. Petersburg international economic forum-2018, Durr said that he plans to start to build his first dairy farm in Stupino district in Moscow region in 2019. He expected to invest 2.5 billion rubles in it. The farm will consist of two complexes for 2.8 thousand cows each and will produce 160 tons of milk per day.
