Domestic breast milk substitutes will slightly grow in price after the introduction of labeling
We will remind, earlier it became known that, according to manufacturers, the introduction of labeling will lead to higher prices for baby food, juices and soda. Additional expenses for children up to six years, according to their estimation, will be about 500 rubles per month.
Alexey Lysakov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company "Infaprim", commenting on this position, asked to stop to talk about baby food for children from birth produced in Russia.
– There is no need to classify "Infaprim" to such statements, we never participated in them. We extremely respect manufacturers of complementary foods, , but we ask not to include us into their category, – said Alexey Lysyakov.
The expert stressed that in Russia baby food from birth up to six years is produce by only one company – "Infaprim". All that is called baby food, in fact, is complementary food that a nursing mother can prepare herself.
– If the price of complementary foods suddenly grows and parents stop buying it, nothing will happen to the child. However, it is impossible to prepare a breast milk substitute at home – complex equipment and special technology are required. Indeed, after introduction of labeling we will have a slight increase in prices, but this will ensure full transparency of the product from raw materials to finished products. We have been engaged in labeling for a long time and bear the corresponding costs. Now the same costs will be borne by our competitors, – said Alexey Lysyakov.
According to him, the rise in price will be insignificant, despite the fact that the need for vertical tracing of the entire product is an extremely important thing.
– We understand the inevitability of costs, but we are ready to accept them and follow the designated policy. We are not going to counteract this, , – said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company "Infaprim".
