Danone to invest 2.8 bln rubles in Tyumen Region
Total volume of investment in the Tyumen Region enterprises in 2013 – 2015 is set to reach 2.8 bln rubles. Within the next two years Danone plans to reconstruct the Yalutorovsky processing plant.
Capacity there is to be increased by 40% to 1000 tons of milk processed per day, while Danone is helping regional government encourage local farms to increase milk output for the dairy to avoid long-distance shipments. Main products out of Yalutorovsky will be the probiotic yogurt Activia, the yogurt coffee crème Danissimo and a popular regional yogurt recipe “Prostokvashino”.
By the way in collaboration with National Dairy Producers Union (SOUZMOLOKO) Danone launches a pilot project aimed to increase milk consumption in the region – “Three dairy products per day”.
