The antitrust agencies have initiated a case for collusion in the purchase of raw materials against dairy traders of Tatarstan – GC "Kantal", "Molochnaya usadba", AgroMol, "Dairy industry", SelEnergo, OMK Group, "Molochny krai", "Molcom", "Faiza" and "Druzhba", reports the press service of the Tatarstan Department of the Federal Antimonopoly service of Russia.
From July to December last year in the dairy market there was a tendency of increase in purchase prices for raw materials. Since mid-December the situation has changed downward and continued to decline until the end of January. At the same time, three of the nine dairy plants of the Republic buy milk directly from farmers, and six enterprises – from traders who are the main suppliers of products.

For the first nine months of 2017, “Dairy industry”, for example, sold milk for 3 billion rubles, the GC “Kantal” sold milk for 900 million rubles, “SelEnergo” - for 300 million rubles. Average purchase prices when buying milk from farmers were higher than those of traders. The processors purchase milk from 21 to 26.5 rubles per kilogram, traders - from 18.5 to 23.5 rubles, which suggests that traders have come to an agreement that resulted in the establishment of unreasonable low prices for raw milk.
