Dairy Index RDRC rose to 22.89 rubles (about 0.30 Euro) / kg
According to the application Index RDRC weighted average price of milk in Russia, despite a slight decline in prices in some regions remained at 21.30 rubles (0.28 Euro)/ kg, which is 6.66% below the price in August 2017.

The import price index last week increased by 2.64% to 28.35 rubles (0.37 Euro)/kg, which is 4.38% lower than the August indicator in 2017. The key factor in the growth of the import price Index was, as already mentioned, the fall of the ruble exchange rate. The price of butter taking into account the rate of the ruble grew by 4.64% to 411 rubles (5.36 Euro)/kg, the price of cheese rose to 253,52 rubles (3.31 Euro)/kg. The price of skimmed milk powder has grown to 112,93 rubles (1.47 Euro)/kg, the price of whey powder increased to 53,78 rubles (0.70 Euro)/kg.
On August 7 at the last trading of GDT (Global Dairy Trade) the price of butter continued to decline, the price of skimmed milk powder wen down, while the price of whole milk powder rose to 187.83 rubles (2.45 Euro)/kg.
In this regard, the import price of a pair of skimmed milk powder + butter increased by 0.74% to 28.76 rubles (0.38 Euro)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey increased by 4.23% to of 28.06 rubles (0.37 Euro)/kg. The Price of whole milk powder due to small volumes of imports of the product despite the growth at GDT auctions remained at the level of 22.94 rubles (0.30 Euro)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
