Dairy Index RDRC has decreased by 0.5%

Dairy Index RDRC on 14 August 2017 amounted to 24.55 rubles/kg (without VAT, fat and protein content 3.6% and 3.0% respectively), 0.49% lower than last week and 9% above the average Dairy Index RDRC in August 2016. The average price for milk in the “regions-importers” and “regions-exporters” has decreased by 0.17%. The index of import price fell by 1.2%.


The price of milk in the "regions-exporters" by the results of last week decreased by 0.38% to 21.14 rubles/kg. The lowest price of milk in selected for the analysis regions-exporters remains in the Republic of Tatarstan – 19.49 rubles/kg. The price of milk in the "regions-importers" remained at the level of 24.8 rubles/kg. The average price of milk in this region declined by 0.17% to 22.82 rubles/kg.



The index of import price taking into account depreciation of the Euro against the ruble amounted to 29.65 rubles/kg, 1.2% lower than last week. The import price of a pair of Skimmed milk powder + Butter declined by 0.59% to 33.56 rubles/kg (1 kg in recalculation on milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese + Whey fell by 2.12% to 29.07 rubles/kg.


 
New Dairy Index RDRC will be published on August 21. 

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, Index of domestic price and Index of import price. The index of domestic price is calculated on the basis of the average price for raw milk in the "regions-exporters " (of raw milk), which include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Vologda and Kirov regions and in the "regions - importers" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
