Dairy Index RDRC has declined by 0.12%

The price of raw milk in the “regions-importers” and “regions-exporters” remained at the level of last week, 25.51 rubles/kg and 22.64 rubles /kg, respectively. However, with the general decline of milk production in selected for the analysis regions in autumn period, the percentage of "regions-importers" has grown a little and pushed up the weighted average price. The weighted average price of milk in the “regions-importers” and “regions-exporters” amounted to 24 rubles/kg, 0.13% higher than last week and 1.18% above the average price of November 2016.


 
The index import price was 27.91 rubles/kg, 1.38% below the level of last week and 4.09% below the average November figure of 2016. At Trigona Dairy Trade auction last week prices for butter, skimmed milk powder and whey powder decreased, the price of cheese remained at the level of the last auction. In the Russian currency, the price of butter at the auction Trigona Dairy Trade amounted to 352.8 rubles/kg (-10,89% below the price of the last auction), the price of skimmed milk powder decreased by 3.58% to 93.74 rubles/kg, the price of whey powder fell by 3.82% to 40.12 rubles/kg. The price of cheese taking into account the strengthening of the ruble against the Euro on the day of trading decreased by 2.16% to 217.91 rubles/kg.

The import price of a pair of skimmed milk powder + butter declined by 0.85% to 31.65 rubles/kg (1 kg recalculated for milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese + Whey fell by 2.01% to 24.39 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 23.92 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, weighted average price of milk in “regions-exporters” (raw milk) and “regions-importers” and the Index of import price. The “regions-exporters” include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Kirov and Yaroslavl regions and the "regions - importers" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
