Dairy Index RDRC decreased by 0.61%

The price of milk in the "regions-exporters" last week rose by 0.05% and amounted to 21.15 rubles/kg. The price of milk in the "regions-importers" remained at the level of 24.82 rubles/kg Average price in “regions-importers” and “regions-exporters” has not undergone significant changes and remained at the level of 22.79 rubles/kg. When compared with the July figure last year, the current average price of milk in selected regions is 12.1% higher.



The index of import price last week, by contrast, declined by 2.06% to 29.03 rubles/kg. The price of dairy products at Trigona Dairy Trade auction showed a decline.

The price of butter at the end of trading at Trigona Dairy Trade fell by 4.32% to 414.82 rubles/kg. While at auction BUCE, the average price of butter amounted to 341.5 rubles/kg, 0.44% higher than last week.



The price of skimmed milk powder at Trigona Dairy Trade auction fell by 3.39% to 119.01 rubles/kg The average export price of skimmed milk powder at the auction BUCE decreased by 0.56% to 137 rubles/kg. 



Cheese at Trigona Dairy Trade auction last week fell by 3.74%, the average price was 255 rubles/kg. 



In this regard, the import price of a pair of Skimmed milk powder + Butter fell by 1.26% to 32.81 rubles/kg (1 kg in recalculation on milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese + Whey fell by 3.48% to 28.27 rubles/kg. The index of the import price was 29.03 rubles/kg, 18.6% higher than the July figure of 2016.



New Dairy Index RDRC will be published on July 31. 

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, Index of domestic price and Index of import price. The index of domestic price is calculated on the basis of the average price for raw milk in the "regions-exporters " (of raw milk), which include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Vologda and Kirov regions and in the "regions - importes" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
