Consumer prices for milk and dairy products increased by 3.2% within six months
This is according to Rosstat data. Indicator growth reached 0.1% compared to May 2016.
Prices for dairy group products increased by 7.5% in the first half of 2016 vs. the first half of 2015. Consumer prices for dairy products increased in June 2016 by 6.8% compared to June 2015.
Consumer price index in June reached 100.4%, since the beginning of the year – 103.3% (in June 2015 – 100.2%, since the beginning of the year – 108.5%).
In June prices for buckwheat increased by 5.6% - the most among all monitored cereals and pulses. Prices for rice, millet and semola decreased by 0.2-1.1%.
Prices for cleaned cooled and frozen salmon increased by 1.4%; prices for different types of salt, pickled, smoked and canned fish grew by 0.8-1.1%.
Among confectionery products prices for caramel increased by 1.4%, for chocolate – by 1.1%, for chocolate-coated soft sweets – by 1%.
In June prices for some vegetables and fruit showed decrease. Prices for cucumbers dropped by 27.3%, for white cabbage – by 13%, for tomatoes – by 11.1%, for bananas – by 10.2%, for grapes - by 5.8%, for lemons – by 4.5%. At the same time prices for potatoes increased by 30.1%, for red beet – by 18.3%, for carrots – by 6.7%, for onion – by 5.2%, for garlic – by 2.1%.
Prices for fruit juices increased by 1.9%, for sparkling water, coffee, ice-cream, locally produced cheese and brynza – by 0.9-1.4%.
Prices for pork dropped by 0.8%, for beef liver – by 0.5%, for rennet hard and soft cheese – by 0.4%, for milk and lamb – by 0.2%, for boneless beef – by 0.1%.
