Charoen Pokphand Group may build a dairy complex in Moscow Region

Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) and Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) may sign an agreement on the construction of a dairy complex for 80 thousand cows in Moscow Region.
The project is now at the talking stage. It is estimated that the new complex will be designed for 80 thousand dairy cows and will process up to 400 thousand tons of milk annually. Investments may reach $1.1 billion.
According to official data, the region produces 650 thousand tons of commercial milk per year.
Earlier it was announced that TH true milk has started construction of a dairy unit in Moscow Region. It is estimated that its first stage will produce 100 thousand tons of milk. Meanwhile RDIF together with Thai Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) and Chinese BannerDairy – Banner Infant Dairy Products announced intention to invest $1 billion into a dairy complex in Ryazan Region.
