Arkadiy Ponomarev: to turn milk powder into an enemy is pure politicking

And Soyuzmoloko, whose member the company is, stated about the illegitimacy of the inspections. The industrial Union doesn't trust the method that the service uses for detection of milk powder. It has not passed scientific and technical expertise, therefore the conclusions, built on its results, are groundless.

Later the Deputy Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Nikolai Vlasov said that the Agency will continue its work on the detection of milk powder in drinking milk.

"At present, we cannot apply penalties to violations of the TR CU 033/2013 that are quite high regarding deliberate violation of the requirements of technical regulations. We believe it is a humane measure in relation to companies in this sector. Its implementation will allow " to make an alarm signal " to companies and participants of the turnover, which in turn will allow them to adjust their actions in the future to avoid significant trouble for this reason. In particular, we are talking about the time when Rosselkhoznadzor will monitor the presence of milk powder in the whole market, as we are doing it now with the adulteration of milk products with vegetable fat," - said the official in the official blog.

In another industrial Association, the Dairy Union of Russia (RSPO), believe that the main problem is not in the method that detects but in the motives of its application, reports The DairyNews.

– Milk powder is a concentrate from cow's milk. It cannot be dangerous for the consumer and affect health in a different way in comparison with whole milk. Therefore, to make "the enemy" out if it, to see falsifying nature in its application is pure politicking, – said the leader of the Dairy Union, a member of the Committee on agrarian issues of the state Duma of the Russian Federation Arkadiy Ponomarev. – Humanity is using milk powder, compensates the deficiency of liquid milk during offseason and at inaccessible places. There is nothing criminal in this. It is normal, especially for Russian conditions, practice. But it is necessary to fight violently with all kinds of strange components in milk which should not be present in it in principle: palm oil, chalk, soda, antibiotics, all kind of things reported by Rosselkhoznadzor... These are the reasons, which should be reacted in the most rigorous way and talked about from high tribunes. There must be a punishment for dishonest producers and processors. Milk powder is the subject of technical regulation, standards and is not the subject of criminality. So we needn’t frighten anyone with milk powder! By the way, milk powder is the main component in the production of infant formula. Shall we discredit it to the end and remove it completely due to today's rhetoric? What will we feed the children with then?!
