Animal Husbandry Department won’t provide cooperatives with subsidies
According to DairyNews information, Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture is not intending to support sales cooperatives and to equal them to intermediaries.
This became clear from a correspondence DairyNews has on hand between Acting Director of Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding at Russian Ministry of Agriculture G. Shichkin and a representative of Kamenskoye, OAO (Nizhny Novgorod Region). The latter asked a question concerning filling up necessary papers while milk supply via agricultural sales cooperative. Answering the question Acting Director of Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding noted that intermediaries between producers and processors are excluded when papers for subsidies allocation are filled up.
