Alexey Martynenko: Labeling is another tax on production
"We mustn’t introduce a system that complicates business. Before the introduction of “Mercury”, we at “Mustang” paid about 30 thousand rubles for issuing veterinary certificates, and now we are paying a million rubles a month. I'm not talking about the personnel we need to work in the system “Mercury”. These are excessive measures that do not bring any benefit to either the state or consumers – falsified products were produced and continue to be produced", said Alexey Martynenko.
According to the expert, there should be no labeling system in principle. And control over the level of falsification can be implemented by implementing a system similar to tracking tax deductions: "If the state has a goal to control the level of falsification, it can do it in the same way as it controls tax deductions. Now it is impossible to hide anything, and if necessary, let them introduce a similar system in the production of products, - suggested Alexey Martynenko. "In the meantime, this is nothing more than another tax on production".
Earlier, the Ministry of industry and trade offered to subsidize the introduction of product labeling in order to financially support manufacturers whose products are subject to mandatory labeling.
