Agricultural census is planned in Russia
All-Russian agrarian census is planned to be held in 2016. The procedure is supposed to have two stages – from 1 July to 16 August and from 15 September to 15 November. The corresponding resolution is already signed by Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. The census will include: owners, users and tenants of farm lands appropriated and used for farming, and also owners of agricultural animals. Russian Federal State Statistics Service, Rosstat, was commissioned to prepare to the procedure of census within the 2014-2018 period. Preliminary census results will be announced in Q4 2017, final – in Q4 2018. In 2016 the local government is highly recommended not to change geographical features’ names to avoid further confusion.
