This year 170 cheese makers and more than 300 farmers will present their products at the cheese festival "Cheese Feast World" in Dubrovsky. This was reported about to The DairyNews by the official representative Oleg Sirota, whose cheese factory "Russian Parmesan" will host the festival.

According to the organizers, the three-day festival "Cheese Feast World" "will establish a kind of tradition for cutting Parmesan cheese. The head of the first Russian Parmesan in history was cut last year. This year, we want to show that despite the complexity of technology and the high cost of production, we continue to make Russian Parmesan. And at the Festival we will cut a new head!".

Also at the festival there will be shown cooking cheese on firewood according to ancient traditions – there will be made a kind of revival of Meshchersky cheese, which was cooked in Moscow province before the revolution. Cheese will be cooked according to the recipe of that time using an old boiler.

In total, during the festival it is planned to sell about 100 tons of cheese and dairy products.

Earlier, TheDairyNews reported that the fourth Cheese and farm festival will set a record for the number of participants and promises to be the largest in the history of Russia.

The festival will be held from 9 to 11 August.
